Emerald Arch is an ornamental flax lily distinguished by its majestic arching leaves. Flowering in the middle of spring and bearing a delicate blue yellow show of flowers, these landscape gardening plants grow to a height of 45cm by 45cm.
Emerald Arch is suitable for shade in all states and full sun in all states except Queensland. It is an ideal choice to create a tropical feel in a landscape, using a very cold hardy plant. Environment: A selection of naturally widespread Australian flax lily native, with low water requirements. Description: Ornamental flax lily distinguished by its grand broad arching leaves. Flowering in mid-spring bearing a delicate blue and yellow show of flowers. Grows to 45cm in height by 45cm wide. Uses: A hardy versatile plant whose broad arching leaves create a tropical feel in the garden situation. Ideal as a foliage plant, mass planting, accent gardens, and low water requirement situations. Position: Best suited to cooler or temperate regions also extending to south eastern Queensland given correct care. Tolerates heavy shade to full sun. Care: In cool to temperate zones simply remove older leaves annually, use a fungicide if required. When planting, ensure Emerald Arch is planted no deeper than existing soil level to prevent covering the crown of the plant. Do not cover base of the plant with mulch or soil. |
